Drivers who complete this course carry a digital badge with a QR code. Scan it, or enter the number on our verification page, to see whether the certificate is active, which languages it covers and when it expires.
The course is sold to operators, not to individual drivers. It covers what an international client expects before the car moves: language, discretion and protocol.

The trainer
Fulvio
An Italian based in Tokyo with a background in international operations and logistics. He built his chauffeur service to fix what demanding travellers complain about most: drivers who cannot really speak their language, journeys left to chance, drivers who are poorly turned out.
He still designs VIP itineraries himself, briefs every driver before each assignment and hosts visiting delegations.
years of experience across Europe, North America and Japan, and Class 2 licence status (to be confirmed)

Questions
How is this different from the Tokyo Taxi Center courses?
The Tokyo Taxi Center runs training required by law for drivers in Tokyo. This course does not replace it. It is additional training for drivers who look after foreign VIP clients.
Who can attend?
Drivers who hold a Class 2 licence. New hires working towards the licence may attend, but exams and certification take place after the licence is issued.
What language is the course taught in?
Days 1 and 3 are taught in Japanese or Chinese. Day 2 focuses on English, with Italian, French or Spanish as options.
Where does it take place?
Normally at the operator's depot with its own vehicles. We can also book a room in Tokyo.
How large is a group?
Four to eight drivers per session. Groups of nine or more are split in two to keep day 3 effective.
What if a driver fails?
One free retake of the failed exam within 60 days. Later retakes are charged.
How does a hotel verify a certificate?
Scan the driver's QR code, or enter the certificate number on our verification page. It shows at once whether the certificate is active, expired or revoked.
Can the course be subsidised?
Japanese operators may be eligible for the Human Resources Development Subsidy. Conditions vary, so we check with your sharoushi. We do not promise a subsidy rate.
